(Q) How do I register?
|

(A) To register click on the "register" link found on both the header and footer navigation sections. Select the type of account you are. Business owners must supply a tax number. All personal accounts are defaulted to our 'Pay as you go' system which means that any payment due NNYLive Auctions must be paid in full before auction will be listed. Once a seller has demonstrated a positive track record to us, they will be upgraded to a Monthly Billing account.

(Q) I'm under 18 and can't signup?

(A) In accordance with US standard law individuals under 18 cannot participate in auctions as auctions create a legal binding contract between buyer and seller. |

Selling

(Q) How can I list an item?
|
|
(A) You must first be a registered member. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then enter in your chosen settings and item description |

(Q) How can I keep track of items I'm selling?

(A) You can keep an eye on everything you are selling by visiting your members area and selecting the "selling" page. |

(Q) Can I use HTML when listing an item?
|
|
(A) Yes you can, however we recomend you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. A suggestion is to create the listing description with Front Page or Dreamweaver and then copy and paste the 'Source Code' into your new listing. Select the view/edit source buttom prior to pasting the code in. |

How to Bid

(Q) How can I place a bid?

(A) To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account. Once logged in a bidding box will be displayed by the item and also at bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to enter the amount of your chosen bid . If the item is a 'Buy Now' item, simply select the 'Buy Now' button to order the item. |

What store size should I use?
|

(A) Store size you need should be determined by the maximum number of items/products you plan to have in your store at any given time. See our Fees link to determine your best store size.

Banner Ads

(Q) I want to advertise on the auctions, how can I do this?
|
|
(A) Advertising your product or site on NNYLive Auctions is a great way to boost sales and site traffic. To advertise your business on NNYLive Auctions, select the 'My Banners' link in your members area on the left side. Next, select the 'Auction' Zone you wish to advertise in. Advertising fees are deducted from your account balance. See your My Banners link for more information. NOTE: To also advertise on our main site pages (Events Calendar area), select the 'Advertise' link on any of the main pages. Down the line we hope to integrate our auction banner ads and main system ads into one system. For now though, this is a separate advertising system.
