Community Board Usage Policy
Before you can post messages, you will need to register as an Auction member. This is easy and free!
Messages posted by community members are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the message. You alone are responsible for your own posts.
When members abide by the principles, the boards are a positive and enjoyable experience for all members and can be very helpful and informative to all.
The fact that Auction Moderators allow a post or thread to remain does not imply that NNYLive condones or agrees with the post.
Courteous and respectful postings are expected from all participants at all times.
These Boards are not the place in which to demean fellow members or to leave feedback. If you are unhappy with a fellow buyer or seller please use the FEEDBACK SYSTEM and not these boards.
Remember, we do not permit postings about other members or other sites.
Grounds for Immediate Post Removal, and/or Suspension from NNYLive Auctions.
The following types of postings are cause for immediate post removal, and/or suspension from the site. Other inappropriate postings not listed below may also warrant removal and/or suspension from the site. NNYLive reserves the right to remove or amend any post without warning or further notice.
· Advertising merchandise, listings, services or commercial web sites, including offers to trade, or charitable solicitations. (Promoting your listings on Auction Forums is permitted on the appropriate board.)
· Discussion or reposting of deleted posts or discussion of those who are no longer registered members.
· Encouraging others to violate NNYLive policies
· In the title of a threaded discussion: Posting user ID's in a derogatory manner, posting URLs, item numbers, or web sites, or violating any other board posting policy.
· Only persons aged 18 or over may post to the boards, without regard to whether an adult actually owns the registration or has given parental/guardian permission.
· Posting contact information about another individual.
· Posting copyrighted items without the permission of the copyright owner.
· Posting item listing reports or member violations. To report suspected violations, please use our ABUSE REPORT found in your MEMBERS AREA.
· Posting material (graphic or text) that is obscene, pornographic or adult in nature.
· Posting material containing profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, disruptive or hostile comments, interpersonal disputes or threats of violence.
· Posting material with the intent to impersonate NNYLive Auction Staff or another member through the use of similar IDs or any other method or device.
· Posting private emails.
· Posting solicitations of interest or "Wanted" posts in the sale of an item or service is not permitted.
· Refusing to follow NNYLive Auction staff instruction or direction.
· The use of false registration information or creating multiple accounts for use on the boards to avoid detection.
· Using JavaScript, active or other coding, making repetitive posts, or other actions that interfere with site operations.
A suspension of one ID will apply to all IDs of that member and may, at our discretion, apply to members of the same household.
